A Mixed Bed Plant (also called MB Plant, Mixed Bed Demineralizer, or Polishing Unit) is the ultimate water purification system that intimately combines both cation and anion exchange resins in a single pressure vessel. This unique configuration creates water purity levels that simply aren't achievable with traditional two-bed systems.
Think of it as the final frontier in water treatment. While two-bed DM plants remove most minerals, Mixed Bed plants take things to the extreme—producing water with conductivity levels below 1 µS/cm, sometimes as low as 0.1 µS/cm. That's water so pure it's nearly impossible to improve upon
